In the event of an emergency shutdown of a chemical feed pump either by turning it off at the LOS, because of equipment failure, or because of LOW tank level, FAIL alarms are generated and the operators will need to manually restart the equipment when problems are addressed.
In the event of a power failure, any equipment that was running in AUTO or HAND is started up once the standby generator comes online.
