Glasgow’s Role

The Glasgow WTP sampling and sample analysis must be conducted using approved methods by EPA certified laboratories. All EPA certified sampling is conducted by an approved party; this is a certified operator or someone under the supervision of a certified operator, who has been adequately trained. The majority of samples are sent to a certified laboratory for analysis. The laboratory’s recommended sample containers and preservation methods are used. Some parameters, including temperature, pH, chlorine residual and turbidity are analyzed at the plant with probes installed at appropriate locations or bench top analyzers such as turbidity and UV transmittance.
