Conditions can occur for which the treatment system is not adequately staffed or when personnel are not able to reach their assigned emergency positions. Auxiliary personnel obtained through mutual aid agreements should be trained as back-ups for the regular staff. The Plant Superintendent should maintain a list of these people and their telephone numbers so that they can be contacted quickly.
