A preventive maintenance file should be set up by the Plant Superintendent to make sure all plant equipment is adequately maintained. An equipment service record card should be filled out when any maintenance is performed. The equipment service record card contains spaces for the person performing the scheduled maintenance to fill in the date the maintenance was performed, their remarks, and signature.
