High Lift Pumps Manufacturer O&M (PDF)
Description
After filter effluent water is chlorinated and routed through the chlorine contact basins, finished water flows into the clearwell. Based on water level in the 7th Street Reservoir, the high lift pumps are operated to draw water from the clearwell and pump into distribution. Each of three (3) high lift pumps has a pressure gauge, pump control valve, isolation valve, and connects into a common discharge manifold. Prior to entering the distribution system, the finished water is routed through a flow meter and sampled for chlorine residual, pH, and turbidity for measurement and recording. A pressure transducer on the common discharge piping records system pressure.
